Diagnostic Imaging is reviewed solely for the benefit of horses that are presented at the SMDC for examination or prepurchase examination.
Have you scheduled an appointment and would you like to take advantage of the option to have previously made imaging reviewed? If so, please use the form and upload options below.
A thorough evaluation with a written report involves certain costs.
Depending on the time required, these fees will be calculated accordingly.
Below is an overview of the standard rates for image evaluation:
- Röntgen en Echografie studies: € 205,00
- MRI en CT studies: € 295,00
- Scintigrafie studies: € 180,00
- Videomateriaal follow-up patiënt SMDC: € 32,75
All listed prices are excluding VAT.
If you haven’t scheduled an appointment at the SMDC, we unfortunately cannot help you with the evaluation of your images.
Image quality
Of course, we cannot make any assessments if the image quality is poor. We would appreciate receiving the material in the following formats:
- X-ray and ultrasound images: DICOM files
- MRI and CT images: DICOM files
- Scintigraphy studies: DICOM files
- Video footage: virtually all formats (For follow-up of SMDC patients only)
- Previous reports: PDF or Word format.

We aim to provide a written report by email within two working days.
In urgent cases, you will be contacted by phone as soon as possible.
Unfortunately, we are unable to evaluate any imaging material unless the form above has been completed.
