Sporthorse Medical Diagnostic Centre (SMDC) is proud to co-organize the 7th Scientific Meeting of the European College of Veterinary Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation (ECVSMR), which will take place from October 8–10, 2026. This international meeting will bring together clinicians, researchers, and specialists dedicated to advancing veterinary sports medicine and rehabilitation in equine athletes.

The meeting will begin on October 7th with a focused roundtable discussion on equine exercise physiology, designed to stimulate scientific exchange among researchers and clinicians in performance medicine. This interactive session will provide an opportunity to discuss current knowledge, emerging research, and practical implications for managing the equine athlete.

The Scientific Program of the Congress on October 9th and 10th will cover a wide range of topics central to the health, performance, and welfare of the equine athlete. Sessions will include orthopedics with a focus on joint disease, translation of scientific research into clinical practice, internal medicine in equine athletes, cervical pathologies in sport horses, rehabilitation strategies for the performance horse, welfare considerations in equine sport, and practical interpretation of advanced imaging in the field. These lectures aim to bridge fundamental research and clinical application, providing attendees with evidence-based insights relevant to daily veterinary practice.
