Presentations and lectures: Sharing knowledge at an international top level
The veterinarians at the Sporthorse Medical Diagnostic Centre (SMDC) are active not only in the clinic but also on the international stage. Our specialists are regularly invited to give lectures at leading veterinary congresses, such as:
- AAEP (American Association of Equine Practitioners)
- BEVA (British Equine Veterinary Association)
- ISELP (International Society of Equine Locomotor Pathology)
- ECVSMR, ECVDI, and other European specialist congresses
- Nordic Equine Veterinary Conference
- Trident Equine Dental Conference
- Congress meetings of veterinary organizations abroad (including Belgium, Denmark, Portugal, Canada, etc.)
Here they share their expertise in areas such as orthopedics, sports medicine, diagnostic imaging, rehabilitation, and dentistry with colleagues from all over the world. Covering topics from innovative treatment strategies to the use of advanced technologies like UTC, objective gait analysis, and CT imaging, they actively contribute to the development of equine veterinary medicine at an international level.
Also active as speakers in the Netherlands
In the Netherlands, our veterinarians are also active as speakers at continuing education events such as those organized by the KNMvD, the Veterinary Sport Horse Congress, and the Dutch Equine Conference.
They give lectures for veterinarians, farriers, physiotherapists, and dentists with the aim of sharing knowledge, strengthening collaboration, and further improving the care of the sport horse.
For instructors in training, they provide presentations for the NCSAH (Neo-Classical School for the Art of Horsemanship). In addition, they are involved in the training program for saddle makers: Equine Saddlefitting Specialists.
Involved in education
Our involvement in education on a global level not only highlights the expertise of the SMDC team but also supports our mission to create an inspiring and educational environment for veterinarians worldwide. By actively contributing to congresses and training programs, SMDC stays connected to the latest scientific developments as well as the international network of experts.
