Brenda Hoogelander

Dr Brenda Hoogelander graduated from the University of Utrecht in 2002. During her study, she did various externships in Germany, United States of America and South Africa. After graduation, she completed an internship at Dierenkliniek Emmeloord. After her internship, she moved to Brabant where she worked for eDigit. There she mainly focused on pre-purchase and orthopedic examinations. In 2006, she started working for Diergeneeskundig Centrum Oisterwijk where she became a partner a year later. As of 2016, she is part of the team at SMDC.
Dr Hoogelander followed all the ISELP (International Society of Equine Locomotor Pathology) modules and she passed the ISELP examination in 2017. ISELP is an international organization for
equine orthopedics under the guidance of Prof J.M. Denoix. Besides the ISELP Certification, Dr Hoogelander successfully completed the course Focus on the Equine Spine (FES) and is a certified FES chiropractor. To gain more insight into the effect of teeth and teeth related problems on equine performances, Dr Hoogelander completed the NVVP certified dentist program. Besides this, she is a certified Equine practitioner and certified pre-purchase veterinarian.
Since 2009, Dr Hoogelander is the team veterinarian for the the Dutch Paradressage team and went to 5 European Championships, 3 World Equestrian Games and 2 Paraolympic Games. In Tryon, the team was world champion and collected 9 medals.
